Starfish swimming lessons

Our very successful swim school runs throughout the year. During the school holidays we also run crash courses for beginners to advanced. All of our helpful instructors are ASA or STA qualified.

There is something for everyone as we teach from mother and baby right the way through to adult master classes. All can be taught in group sessions or privately.

We also run a non-competitive swimming club, Hampton Great Whites. Swimmers have the choice of three sessions that are aimed at overall fitness as well as continued work on swimmer's technique and efficiency in the water.

Learn2 online lesson portal

We are now using a system called ‘Learn2’, which allows swimming lessons to be delivered more effectively through electronic registration and assessment procedures.

As part of this new IT system, our Swim Instructors are now using tablets on poolside to record attendance and also update your children’s progress.

Learn2 is an ASA-endorsed solution to allow parents and guardians greater visibility of their children’s progress through courses and a smoother progression through the swim levels.

The portable poolside devices allow instructors to upload assessment information during the lesson itself, rather than writing it down or relying on memory for write up at a future point in time. Parents can view progress against the course content online through the Home Portal software component.
