The Bootleg Beatles are coming to Hampton Pool to headline our finale concert which commemorates the Summer of Love of 1967. And that’s just a few weeks after performing a sell-out concert at the Royal Albert Hall. On our summer stage, they’ll perform songs from Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and other fab four favourites.

Weren’t around in ’67 to let your hair down? Let it flow this summer at Hampton Pool.
Even some of the world’s most enduring bands would be hard put to notch up 4,000 performances since their formation. But such is the demand for the Bootleg Beatles, the bookings just keep coming. The band has performed all over the world and been on the same line-up at Oasis, Rod Stewart, Bon Jovi, David Bowie, The Corrs, Manic Street Preachers and Iggy Pop.

Some highlights:
On 30 January 1999, the Bootleg Beatles played on the rooftop of 3 Savile Row, London. This was the former residence of the Beatles’ Apple Corps and they recreated the Beatles final public live performance on the same rooftop 30 years before.

In 2002, they played at Queen Elizabeth II’s Golden Jubilee Party at Buckingham Palace.

In 2010, they headlined the Acoustic Stage at Glastonbury Festival to the biggest crowd for five years. They returned to the festival in 2013.

In 2017, The Bootleg Beatles are going to be commemorating the 50th anniversary of the summer of love and the album Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band – and at Hampton Pool we’re delighted we’ll be sharing in some of that joy.

What the press says
‘The toppermost of the copymost’ Total Guitar
‘Flawless’ MOJO
‘Impeccable’ The Mail
‘Sheer technical perfection’ Evening Standard
‘Glorious’ Liverpool Echo
‘Fastidiously authentic’ The Daily Telegraph
‘Off the scale fabulous’ Chris Evans
Well they do say seeing is believing… and that seems to be how many have seen The Rollin Stoned ‘...the nearest thing to the real article’ was the view of one reviewer who claims to have seen them all in The Times, ‘...about as true to the originals as you can get’ raved another and ‘just like the real thing’ enthused rock star photographer Gered Mankowitz at his recent private view.

Indeed Keith Richards’ own mother, Doris, was kind enough to describe them as ‘outstanding’ and ‘Fit stand ins for the Stones’ which is about as good an endorsement as any could wish. Well we could go on, but you get the picture, it’s not just enthusiastic fans who rate The Rollin Stoned so highly, it is the people in the know and those from the Stones’ inner circle.
With a Rolling Stoned show, the costumes are shamelessly camp gaudy and fab, the instruments genuinely vintage and the wit irreverent. However while the tongue is never far from the cheek we make sure it is never to the detriment of the music.

This band is not to be confused with the grotesque parody on parody ’Stella Street’-Lite Stones bands that abound, nor a bunch of seasoned old pros, opportunistically hitched on to the ‘Tribute Bandwagon’ for an easy ride.

What clearly comes across to audiences seeing the band at work is the passion we all have for the music of what is, cliche or not, ’The Greatest Rock’n’Roll Band’ the world has seen. A typical two hour show includes not only all the classic crowd pleasing hits, but is spiced with enough eclectic selections from the deeper recesses of Stones’ album archives to satisfy the most demanding of ‘Buffs’, all performed with the same vibrantly authentic attack and raw energy that characterised the original Stones shows in their prime. For those who witnessed the Stones – Brian Jones et al – in their hey day, this is a chance to revisit lost youth, for the rest, a chance to see what all the fuss was about.

As a charity, Hampton Pool’s future depends on these fundraising events and we really appreciate your support.
For all concerts, the gates open at approximately 19:00, or a little before, so you can have a swim before the music begins.
