New procedures for gym use

Booking your session

  • Booking sessions – advanced booking of gym sessions is compulsory. Gym slots are only bookable on our app.
  • Please leave promptly when your allotted time is up to allow our team enough time to clean between time slots.
  • There is a one way system on site, entry will be through our reception area and the exit is the large blue gate by the deep end of the pool which shall be marked.
  • Please arrive in appropriate workout gear for the gym session you are attending, minimizing any need for using the limited outside changing huts. There are no lockers currently available.
  • Please wear sunscreen when exercising outdoors on hot days. Click here for more information.

Cleanliness

  • Please wipe down each piece of equipment you use thoroughly before and after you use it. A member of staff will be sanitising in between allotted gym sessions. Cleaning stations with wipes, spray and tissue will be provided.
  • There are over 30 antibacterial hand pumps on site. High touch point areas have been marked. Please use the hand sanitisers provided.
  • Please bring a towel to lay down on our crash mats if you intend to use them, we will be sanitising these during gym session intervals and ask that you clean them before and after you lay down your mat.

Essentials

  • Please bring a full water bottle. Water fountains may be in use to fill a water container, but no mouth-to-tap water access is permitted.
  • Please arrive no more than 5 minutes early to avoid congestion in our waiting areas.
  • Please respect the 2 metre distancing rule both within the gym and all areas of our site. Do not gather in groups prior to or after your session. Our staff and customers are aware of the need to avoid contact.
  • Spotting is not permitted due to the nature of proximity required.
  • The car park has been altered so that every other space is available. Please note there will be less parking availability on site.
  • If you wish to support our café, please follow the one way system upstairs and respect the time slots provided.
  • The dry-side toilets and disabled access toilet by reception are the only ones in use. Please wait 2 metres apart outside the toilets while queuing.
  • Please ensure you have given us correct contact information in case we need to reach you. You must let us know if you later test positive for Covid-19 within 7 days after using the gym.
  • Do not come to Hampton Pool if you are displaying any Covid-19 symptoms:
    • a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
    • a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
    • a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal

Useful information

  • Gym sessions are now only bookable through our app and timed 60 minute slots.
  • We have rearranged our gym so that it is partially outside, under the protection of a marquee.
  • Please read through our new gym procedures (above) of how to navigate our one way system.
  • If you were previously a Direct Debit member and would like to continue to be, we can re-start your DD, picking up where you left off, from your desired date. Alternatively we can begin a new membership for you if you would like to alter your previous membership. We will ask you to fill out a new Direct Debit form upon re-joining. Please print, complete and bring to the Pool on your first session.
  • If you were previously an annual member, we will be adding the length of closure, onto the end of your annual membership.
  • If you were previously a pay-as-you-go member, please notify us that you would like to begin your PAYG membership.
  • If you are joining for the first time, please read this Poolside Gym Application Form (with Direct Debit information). Please print, complete and bring to the Pool on your first session.

Booking app information

How to use the app if you’re already a user
(NB: there’s a change to the sign-in process)

  • There have been some software upgrades whilst we have been closed. You must now log-in with your email address and a password (which you will need to create) and NOT your User ID and PIN. See instructions here.

Using the app for the first time

  • In order to make use of our booking app, we must first register you on our system and you must download the app. See instructions here.
