Swimming 365
days a year!
In Spring 2004 we had a magnificent new 36 metre
tiled pool built. The water is maintained to a
temperature of around 28 degrees, summer and winter.
Normally
there are two or three lanes dedicated to fast
or steady swimmers, the rest of the pool area is
for the enjoyment of the recreational swimmers
and families.
In addition there is a shallow learner
pool 12.5 metres and just over 7 metres wide. This
is a pool where babies and toddlers can safely
get their ‘water legs’ with their parents.
The two
pools are situated in a south facing woodland area
on the outskirts of Bushy Park. We also have a
grassed area for you to just laze in the sun between
your swims.

Weak and non-swimmers must stay in the shallow end with an adult and not go past the point marked on poolside. We highly recommend weak and non-swimmers wear approved buoyancy devices.
Storm closure procedures
In the event of thunder storms we will have to ask you to leave the water immediately. An ‘all clear’ to re-enter the water will be given once there has been a 20 minute lapse between thunder rolls. Where bad weather affects visibility, the pool will close until conditions improve.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for lost swimming time.
