Important Update: Management Change at Hampton Pool
We would like to inform you of an exciting new chapter for Hampton Pool. Starting on 2 June 2025, YMCA St Paul’s Group will be transitioning the management of the pool to South Downs Leisure (SDL).
First and foremost, we want to express our sincere gratitude for your continued support over the years. Rest assured, the change will not affect your swimming and gym experience at Hampton Pool. SDL is committed to building on the excellent services already in place, ensuring you continue to enjoy the same high standard of facilities.
South Downs Leisure (SDL) is a charitable trust operating a variety of community-focused leisure facilities across Worthing, Lancing, Southwick, and surrounding areas – including gyms, wellbeing hubs, swim schools, racquet sports, group exercise, mindfulness sessions and even community allotments.
As a not-for-profit organisation, SDL aims to help people live well, feel better and move more, they believe activity should be enjoyable and inclusive for all, whatever your background, age or ability. SDL reinvests its profits into the facilities, services and communities they serve, and they are also deeply committed to sustainability through energy-saving initiatives, greener buildings and community education.
In the coming weeks, you will receive updates about the new Hampton Pool website with an online booking system for swimming, gym sessions, and classes. The South Downs Leisure app will also be available shortly, making it easier for you to book your activities. Full guidance and full instruction will be shared in their onboarding updates.
Meanwhile, you can also check the FAQs here for more information.
We understand that change can feel unsettling, and we want to assure you that we are committed to making this transition as smooth as possible together with SDL. If you have any questions, or need any further information, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
We deeply appreciate your support and thank you for being part of this exciting journey.
Warm regards,
the Hampton Pool team

Be more like Grahame!
Hampton Pool is celebrating its centenary year with #100 Challenge!
To swim 100 miles in 100 days, that is Grahame’s challenge. He is making a terrific effort – he smashed his £1k challenge and has increased this to £1,500.
Along the way he will swim 100 strokes; 100 metres; 100 lengths; 100 km; and visit the pool 100 days; by which time he will have swam 100 miles. In total, that is 4,471 lengths of the 36 metre open air Hampton Pool.
What’s it all for?
Grahame is raising funds which contribute to the refurbishment project, building for the future and community of Hampton pool.
Be more like Grahame! What’s your #100 challenge? See the #100Challenge website page for more information |
